CANTRIPS
LIGHT
Merle touches a medium-to-small sized object and it will start to glow with bright light, akin to functioning as a fireless torch.
PRESTIDIGITATION
Mostly sparks and flash. Can create a harmless sensory effect such as sparks, wind, music, or odors; light or snuff out a fire up to the size of a small campfire; instantaneously clean or soil a small object; chill, warm, or flavor something small and nonliving for an hour; create a color or small mark on a surface for one hour; create a nonmagical trinket or illusory image that can fit in your hand for a few minutes.
THAUMATURGY
Manifests a "minor wonder" for one minute. This includes: self voice amplification up to three times as loud; cause flames to flicker, brighten, dim, or change color; harmless tremors in the ground; create an illusory sound; cause an unlocked door or window to fly open or slam shut; alter the appearance of his eye. Up to three of its effects can be active at a time.
SACRED FLAME
A ranged attack of flame-like radiance.
THORN WHIP
A ranged attack of a thorn-covered vine that whips out at his command.
SPARE THE DYING
Touch someone close to death to cause them to become stable, if remotely possible within the realms of fiction.
MENDING
Repairs a single break or tear in an object he touches.
HIGHER LEVEL SPELLS
HEALING WORD
A ranged heal, can only be cast on those within his sight. Can be cast at higher levels for increased effect.
PRAYER OF HEALING
A ranged mass heal made of stronger stuff, up to six targets that can be seen heal more than the other one.
GUARDIAN OF FAITH
Della Reese appears as an large spectral guardian and hovers at a fixed location that he can see. When something hostile to Merle comes within its range, Della Reese will attack them for significant damage with her angelic gleaming sword and shield.
SHIELD OF FAITH
A shimmering shield surrounds a target and protects them from harm for ten minutes.
ZONE OF TRUTH
This is Merle's special concoction of a magical zone that causes everyone within to be unable to speak deliberate lies. Affected people can feel the spell and are thus aware of it.
INSECT PLAGUE
Swarming, biting locusts infest a 20-foot-radius area.
SILENCE
For up to ten minutes, no sound can be created within or pass through a 20-foot-radius sphere. Anything entirely contained by the sphere is immune to thunder and are deafened while within.
CALM EMOTIONS
For up to one minute, Merle can suppress another person becoming charmed or frightened, or cause a target to become indifferent about someone/something they are hostile towards (unless the target is harmed or witnesses a friend being harmed).
ENHANCE ABILITY
For up to one hour, Merle can bestow a magical enchantment on someone by touching them. This includes: Bear's Endurance, Bull's Strength, Cat's Grace, Eagle's Splendor, Fox's Cunning, or Owl's Wisdom. When cast at higher levels, more targets for the enchantment can be added.
GUIDING BOLT
A flash of light hits a ranged target as an attack, and until the target is attacked again, mystical light will glitter around them, bringing attention to them.
SPIRITUAL WEAPON
For one minute, Merle creates a floating, spectral weapon that can hit anything within five feet of it.
MELD INTO STONE
Merle can merge with a stone surface as long as it's the size of him. He can't move while in the stone. He can't see and can barely hear while in the stone. I literally can't remember why or when he would use this ever in the show. But I'm not nerfing it because the potential for hilarity is so great.
DISPEL MAGIC
Ends the effects of any lower level spell.
SPIRIT GUARDIANS
Merle calls forth angelic spirits to protect him in a radius of 15 feet. When someone Merle doesn't designate as being unaffected comes within this radius, they are significantly hurt by radiant attacks.
PROTECTION FROM POISON
Upon touching a target, they are healed from poison.
STONE SHAPE
Forms an existing stone object into any shape.
FLAME STRIKE
A column of divine fire roars down from the heavens as a ranged attack for significant damage.
MASS HEALING WORD
Up to six targets that can be seen regain health for a ranged mass heal.
FIND TRAPS
Senses the presence of any trap within his sight.
MASS CURE WOUNDS
A wave of healing energy washes out from a point within 60 feet for significant healing.
AID
For 8 hours, up to three targets are made sturdier and tougher.
WIND WALL
A wall of strong wind rises from the ground at range for up to one minute. This can harm anyone within the wall as well as has the general effects you'd expect a wall of wind would cause.
SANCTUARY
For one minute, any target is warded from attack.
